How to Use up those ODD amounts on Rebate Credit cards?

A friend of mine had a great way to get rid of those rebate credit cards you get with odd amounts on them, that are so hard to use. Go to Amazon, and order an EXACT amount gift card, email it to yourself and then on Amazon put it back into your account by redeeming the gift card.
